01Who we are and what these terms cover
ENDEPTH AI LTD ("EnDepth", "we", "us") runs the Biomethane & Renewable Gas Desk at biomethane.endepth.ai (the "site"). We are registered in England and Wales under company number 15945442, at 20 Wenlock Road, London, N1 7GU, United Kingdom.
These terms apply to everyone who uses the site, whether as a guest or a registered member. Our privacy policy explains how we handle your personal data.
If you use the site on behalf of your employer or another organisation, you accept these terms for it and confirm you are authorised to do so.
02Access and accounts
| Access | What it includes |
|---|---|
| Guest | Browse the six newest analyses and read one analysis in full |
| Free member account | Every analysis, saved analyses, email alerts, policy questions to our experts and feature requests |
- Eligibility. You must be at least 18 and use the site in a professional capacity.
- Accurate details. Give your real name, job title, company, country and email address when you register, and keep them up to date on your account page.
- One person per account. Keep your password secret and don't share your account. You are responsible for activity under it. If you think someone else has used it, change your password and tell us at hello@endepth.ai.
- Price. Accounts are free. If we introduce paid features, we will tell you in advance, and you will never be charged without agreeing to it first.
03Our analyses
Each analysis assesses a policy affecting biomethane and renewable gas in Europe. It scores the policy's net impact on the industry (−5 to +5) and its importance (1 to 10), and shows the policy's stage, from report to in force.
- Scores are editorial judgements. They are EnDepth's assessment, not objective measurements or forecasts.
- Analyses are dated. Each reflects the sources available at its publication date. Policies change after we publish. We may revise an analysis, but we don't undertake to keep every analysis up to date.
- Check the sources. Each analysis links to the primary documents it relies on. Check them, and the publication date, before relying on an analysis.
- Accuracy. We take care to be accurate, but we don't guarantee that analyses are complete, current or error-free. If you spot a mistake, please tell us.
04Not professional advice
Everything on the site, including analyses, scores, alerts and answers from our experts, is general information. It is not legal, regulatory, tax, financial or investment advice, and it is not a recommendation to take or avoid any action.
Using the site, or asking our experts a question, does not create an adviser–client relationship. Get professional advice on your own circumstances before making decisions.
05Policy questions
Members can send biomethane policy questions to EnDepth's experts from their account, free of charge.
- Replies. We aim to reply within two working days. We don't guarantee a reply, a response time or that we can answer every question, and we may decline questions outside our scope.
- What answers are. Answers are general information (section 4), based on what you tell us and on public sources.
- What not to send. Don't include confidential or commercially sensitive information, or personal data about other people. Your questions are seen only by you and our team, but they are not covered by a confidentiality agreement or legal privilege.
- Using answers. Answers are for your own use. Section 8 applies to sharing them, as it does to analyses.
06Feature requests and feedback
Members can suggest new features from their account. We read every request and may contact you about it, but we are not obliged to build anything.
If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them to improve the site without payment or credit to you.
07Emails
- Account emails, such as confirming your address, resetting your password, confirming an email change and security notices, are part of the service. They can't be switched off while you have an account.
- Optional emails, namely new-analysis alerts, answer notifications and product news, are your choice. Change them on your preferences page, or use the unsubscribe link in any alert or update. Our privacy policy has the details.
08Using our content
EnDepth owns or licenses everything on the site, including the analyses, scores, charts, text, design and logo. It is protected by copyright and other intellectual property rights.
You may:
- read analyses and use them in your own work and your organisation's internal decisions;
- share links to analyses;
- quote short extracts, credited to EnDepth with a link to the analysis.
You may not, without our written permission:
- republish, sell, sublicense or redistribute analyses or answers, or substantial parts of them, including in newsletters, reports or databases for others;
- give full analyses to people who don't have access to them;
- remove credits or copyright notices, or present our work as your own;
- use our content to train, fine-tune or test AI or machine-learning models, or for text and data mining. We expressly reserve these rights, including under Article 4(3) of EU Directive 2019/790.
09Acceptable use
When using the site, you must not:
- get around access limits, for example by using several accounts or automated tools to read more analyses than your access allows;
- scrape, crawl or copy the site in bulk with bots or other automated tools, except for search engines indexing public pages;
- register with false details or in someone else's name, or create accounts automatically;
- probe, test or breach our security, interfere with the site's operation, or put an unreasonable load on it;
- send malicious code, or unlawful, abusive, misleading or infringing content in questions or feature requests;
- use the site in any way that breaks the law.
10Closing and suspending accounts
- You can leave at any time. To delete your account and its data, email hello@endepth.ai from your account's email address. We will confirm when it's done.
- We may suspend or close your account if you break these terms, if needed to protect the site or other users, or if the law requires it. Where we reasonably can, we will tell you why first.
- Inactive accounts. We delete accounts after 3 years without a sign-in, with a warning email first.
- What survives. Sections 4, 8, 13 and 15 continue to apply after your account closes.
11Availability and changes to the site
We provide the site "as is" and "as available". We work to keep it running and secure, but we don't guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free.
We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of the site at any time, including removing analyses or features. If a significant change affects members, we will give notice where we reasonably can.
12Links to other websites
Analyses link to government, regulator and other third-party sources. We don't control those websites and aren't responsible for their content, accuracy or availability.
13Our liability to you
- What we never limit. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit.
- Reliance on content. The site is free and provides general information. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of, or reliance on, the site, its analyses, scores or expert answers.
- Types of loss. We are not liable for loss of profit, revenue, business, contracts, opportunity, data or goodwill, or for any indirect or consequential loss.
- Overall cap. Otherwise, our total liability to you in connection with the site is limited to £100.
14Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will post any changes here and update the date at the top. If a change materially affects members, we will also email them before it takes effect.
If you keep using the site after a change takes effect, the updated terms apply. If you don't agree with them, stop using the site and ask us to delete your account.
15General
- Governing law. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction. Nothing in this clause removes any right you have under mandatory law to bring proceedings where you live.
- Whole agreement. These terms and our privacy policy are the whole agreement between you and us about the site.
- Severability. If a court finds part of these terms invalid, the rest still applies.
- No waiver. If we don't enforce a right straight away, we can still enforce it later.
- Transfer. We may transfer our rights and obligations under these terms to another organisation, for example if our business is sold. You may not transfer yours without our consent.
